Adam’s Comments:


Today’s youth frequently aren’t taught what is biblically correct or incorrect. They often are just placed in front of a TV or given whatever music they ask for so that the parent’s have “free time” to go and do whatever that pleases them. TV and Music have been incorporated into “babysitters” for today’s youth. Consequently, various un-churched people or groups have become the youth’s role models. They are taught what to think and how to handle love/sex/relationships through music and television.


Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Colossians 3:8 But now also put these things out of your life; sexual sinning, doing evil, letting evil thoughts control you, wanting things that are evil, and greed.

Romans 6:12 So, do not let sin control your life here on the earth so that you do what your sinful self wants to do. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used in doing good.

1 Corin 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Romans 8:13 If you use your lives to do the wrong things your sinful selves want, you will die spiritually.

Titus 3:12 It teaches us not to live against God nor do the evil things the world wants us to do. Instead, grace teaches us to live now in a wise and right way and in a way that shows we serve God.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Colossians 3:16 Let the work of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

The Will of the Lord

Ephesians 5:17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

What is the Will of the Lord?

Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus declared, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Jesus clearly summed up the will of God in these four verses. First and foremost, love the Lord your God with everything you have. Then, love your fellow man. If you do these two commandments on which hang all the law and the prophets surely you are well on your way to doing God’s will.
How do you do this? Is it achievable? The following verses are provided to give us a close look at how we go about doing the will of God.

Achieving Gods Will in Our Lives.

Matthew 18:14 Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

God doesnt want any of us to be lost or perish. He wants all of his children to join him in heaven.

John 4:34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

God wants us to serve him, to bring about his works here on earth. What are his works? For all of us to love him, obey his commandments, help our fellow man, pray without ceasing, and seek eternal life with him in heaven.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

You should always thank God for all the blessings you receive. But, you should also thank God for any situation you are going through, even the difficult ones. Why? Because of this promise, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. God will strengthen you and help you. You might not understand it at the time, but everything eventually is for our own good. Through trials and tribulations God is molding you, developing you. If you count on him and seek him, he will always be there for you.

1 Thessalonians 4:3

For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

Sanctification means literally to be set aside for God. We should most certainly abstain from sexual sins like fornication since we are set aside as one of his people. He created us special, unlike anything else he created. He created us in his image. We are special to him. He doesnt want us to defile our bodies. Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

Collosians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

We Christians should always labor one for another so that we can help our brother and sister stand tall, perfect and complete before God. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

You must walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

You cant fake your relationship with the Father. He knows and he searches your heart. You might be able to fool mankind, but not God. No amount of pleading on judgment day will help you. You must do and follow Gods will in your life here and now.

Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

Be real not phony. Do not kiss up to the boss just to look good. Christians are to set the example, doing good in all things from your renewed mind and heart.

What are the obstacles to doing the will of God?

1 Peter 4:2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

The lusts of the flesh are a real stumbling block for all of us. However, God has provided us a way out. He hasn’t given us anything more than we can handle. He has provided the Holy Spirit which will be our conscience, our trainer, and our comforter.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Following and conforming to the world, a very formidable temptation, will lead to death. The world seems to have so much to offer, but they are only temporary. Fame and fortune are all to be counted as loss when it comes to heavenly things. Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Will you suffer while doing the Will of God?

1 Peter 3:17 For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing.

Many people falsely believe that you will not suffer once you are a Christian. This is not correct. Brethren, you will suffer. Jesus told us that we will be hated, as he was hated. But, there is promise of eternal joy for that suffering. The book of Psalms said it well, but joy cometh in the morning. Jesus calls those who are persecuted “blessed” in Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

1 Peter 4:19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Suffering in this lifetime is hard, but God will provide you strength. Great will be your reward in Heaven, and heaven lasts for eternity!!!! So, keep the faith. Keep fighting the fight. Don’t give up in spreading the good news. Be glad at your persecutions and sufferings, keep your eyes focused on heaven and on God.

What happens when you follow the Will of God?

1 John 2:17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

You live forever with God in heaven. The land of no pain, no tears.

Mark 3:35 For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.

You will become one with Jesus, considered his family, bound to spend eternity with him in heaven.

1 Peter 2:15 For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

Christians are the light of the world! A true Christian is a beacon, to be seen, to set the example for others. Your Godly actions will glorify your Father in heaven and prove to the non-believer that there is a true, living God.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Romans 15:32 That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.

Those who know and follow the will of God will have a refreshing of their heart, will, and mind. A joyful peace, enjoying the love of God in your life.

Hebrews 10:36 For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

The promise of life everlasting. Continuous fellowship with God our Father. What a wonderful blessing.

The Final Results!!!!

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

LORD’S PRAYER

  • Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory for ever, Amen.  

    Because we didn’t know what to pray for, here Jesus is trying to help us. So many corrupt things had been placed in prayers by the Jews and their numerous laws that Jesus saw it necessary to give a new instruction or directory for prayer. This is not the only way to pray, it was just an example. It explains how we should talk to God.

    Our Father who art in heaven

    • Our – He is everyone’s father. Not just the jews, nor just the gentiles, but everyone. This means black, white, red, ALL RACES. God made everyone, not just a select race. RACISM is wrong and God will judge the guilty.
    • Father – We are taught to pray to God only, not to saints or anyone else, only God. We only honor God in our prayers.
      He is a common Father to all mankind by creation.
      Christ, when he prayed, mostly called God Father.
      Since he is our Father, he will deny us nothing that is good for us..he will pity us in our weaknesses,, he will make the best of our performances.
    • In heaven – God is everywhere, but in heaven is where his throne is. Jesus, our intercessor, is also in heaven sitting on the right hand side of the father.
      Heaven: A place we can look forward to. Streets of Gold, no pain or suffering. Just permanent love and worship. A place of eternal satisfaction; happiness.

    Hallowed

    We must give glory to God, we are here showing adoration. We must begin our prayers with praising God if we are to expect to receive mercy and grace from Him.?

    be

    Not was, or has, but BE. Present tense. God is alive, here with us NOW. Do not think he is not here or far away, he is HERE.

    thy name

    Thy name: no one else’s. God is the only true, living God. There never has been another, nor ever will be. He is the ONLY one.

    Thy kingdom come

    Christ promised to return. We as Christians, should surely desire to live with God in heaven. What God has promised, we must pray for and truly desire.

    Thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven

    We pray that earth may be made more like heaven by the observance of God’s will, and that we may be made more like holy angels in their devotion and obedience. Christ prayed “not my will, but thine be done.” Let God’s will be done, let earth appear as it is in heaven,,, peaceful, reverent, Holy..

    Give us this day our daily bread

    Because our bodies require food and nutrients to survive, in order to worship and serve God we must have food. We ask for bread, not riches. We must be humble and show temperance. Bread is wholesome, but it is not nice.

    We ask for daily bread, which teaches us to pray every day, and also not to worry about tomorrow.

  • Matt 6:34 We must constantly depend upon God’s divine providence. We ask to give US, not me. This teaches us charity, concern for others, the poor and needy. It suggests also that we should pray with our families (US).

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors

Debts are sins. We must pray daily for the forgiveness of our sins because if we do not ask forgiveness of our sins, then we face the wrath of God. When we pray for forgiveness, then the punishment for the sin will be canceled.We must forgive others for their sins against us. This is mentioned time and time again by Jesus. This would include all types of sins.. if they hurt us,, if they owe us money and can not repay,,

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil

God never leads his people into temptation for the purpose of causing anyone to fall, but for the purpose of proving the sufficiency of his presence. When God is the One who leads His people into temptation, it is for the purpose of proving to His child that when God leads to temptation, He does not abandon him, but He is with him to give him the victory and to make him more experienced in warfare against the devil. However, when one allows Satan or his own lusts to tempt him, he should never say that he is tempted of God.

  • James 1:13-14 Lord, do not leave us to ourselves. Do not let Satan loose against us. But deliver us from evil, the evil one. The tempter. From the evil sin.

For thine is the kingdom, and the power and the glory, for ever, Amen

Meant to excite us in the faith. Make us think of God’s Glory and of heaven. Praises and gives thanksgiving. The best way of pleading with God is praising him. We give him praise and Glory not because he needs it, but deserves it!

A true saint never thinks he can speak honorably enough of God.

End with Amen. Amen has always been used to sum up a prayer or request of God. It is a good, warm way to sum up a prayer.

God says homosexuality is wrong

Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

Man shall not have sex with another man, God says it is an abomination (detestable) and come judgment time, you will be put to death. You will not live with God forever in heaven.

1 Timothy 1:8-11 [8] But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; [9] Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, [10] For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; [11] According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Notice here how the writings in the New Testament classifies homosexuals. In the same category as murderers, liars, perjured persons, profane, lawless and disobedient.
Homosexuality is a result of sexual perversions

Accepting homosexuality legitimizes other perversions:

Romans 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Homosexuals bring penalities on society:

[26] Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: [27] (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) [28] That the land spew not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spewed out the nations that were before you.

Jude 1:7-8 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. [8] Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.

Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

THE GOOD NEWS IS Homosexuals can be forgiven and changed

Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. [11] And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
