MUSIC/VIDEOS/TV
A Bible Study for the youth by Adam Osborne, Jr.
Adam’s Comments:
Today’s youth frequently aren’t taught what is biblically correct or incorrect. They often are just placed in front of a TV or given whatever music they ask for so that the parent’s have “free time†to go and do whatever that pleases them. TV and Music have been incorporated into “babysitters†for today’s youth. Consequently, various un-churched people or groups have become the youth’s role models. They are taught what to think and how to handle love/sex/relationships through music and television.
Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. (2) and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
Colossians 3:8 But now also put these things out of your life; sexual sinning, doing evil, letting evil thoughts control you, wanting things that are evil, and greed.
Romans 6:12 So, do not let sin control your life here on the earth so that you do what your sinful self wants to do. Offer the parts of your body to God to be used in doing good.
1 Corin 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain

1 Thess 5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.
1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore you eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Psalms 100:2 Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing
Psalms 89:1 I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
Galations 5:16 So I tell you: live by following the Spirit. Then you will not do what your sinful selves want.
1 Corinthians 10:31-32 The answer is, if you eat or drink, or if you do anything, do it all for the glory of God. Never do anything that might hurt others.
Romans 1:24-32 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: (25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. (26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. (28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; (29) Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, (30) Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, (31) Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: (32) Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
Romans 8:13 If you use your lives to do the wrong things your sinful selves want, you will die spiritually.
Titus 3:12 It teaches us not to live against God nor do the evil things the world wants us to do. Instead, grace teaches us to live now in a wise and right way and in a way that shows we serve God.
